Folk Art Christmas Tree Cutting

Bring old-fashioned holiday cheer to your living room with this cozy folk art Christmas scene, made for your Frame TV or art-mode TV.

Overview

This hand-painted gouache-style artwork is done in a naive American-Scandinavian folk style. It shows a snowy evergreen forest seen from above. Rows of patterned pine-green fir trees with cream snow caps surround a small clearing. In the clearing, tiny villagers in red and navy coats saw down their family Christmas tree. A child pulls a wooden sled while a happy dog bounds alongside. Bright red cardinals perch in the branches, a gentle deer peeks out from the woods, and little red cottages with curling chimney smoke sit on the snowy ridge beneath a soft navy sky.

The flat matte colors read like a real painting on your screen. The palette of cardinal red, warm cream, deep pine green, muted navy and soft wheat ochre adds warmth to a living room TV, bedroom TV or family room during the holiday season. Its heirloom, storybook mood makes it an easy finishing touch for rustic, farmhouse, Scandinavian or vintage Christmas decor. It also makes a thoughtful digital gift for Frame TV owners, nature lovers and anyone who treasures the tradition of cutting a Christmas tree.
