Folk Art Winter Ice Skating Pond

Turn your TV into a cozy heirloom holiday painting with this hand-painted style folk art winter scene, made for Frame TVs and art-mode TVs.

Overview

Dozens of tiny doll-like villagers skate in joyful loops across a frozen millpond. Some hold hands in big circles, and one little child is pulled along on a wooden sled. On the left, a red gristmill with a snowy cream roof sits beside a still waterwheel edged in icicles. Behind the pond, rolling cream snow hills are dotted with little red farmhouses, rows of patterned pine-green evergreens and curls of chimney smoke under a soft navy winter sky.

The naive American-Scandinavian gouache style uses flat matte color, simple shapes and charming hand-drawn edges. The palette of cardinal red, warm cream, deep pine green, muted navy and soft wheat ochre glows gently on screen. It feels like a vintage Christmas card come to life.

When your TV is off, this art fills the black rectangle with a cheerful village scene. It brings festive warmth to a living room TV, family room or bedroom TV. It pairs beautifully with farmhouse, Scandinavian, rustic cabin and traditional holiday decor. It also makes a thoughtful last-minute Christmas gift for anyone who owns a Frame TV.
