Christmas Gift Frame TV Art

Bring a cozy country Christmas into your home with this hand-painted folk art winter farm, made for your Frame TV or art-mode screen.

Overview

A big red barn with cream trim and a holiday wreath stands beside a cream clapboard farmhouse. Its windows glow warm ochre and smoke curls from the chimney. In the snowy barnyard, two little children in red and navy coats build a snowman while patterned chickens peck nearby. A brown cow waits by the cream picket fence, and a snow-capped haystack sits by the barn door. Behind them, rolling cream hills with rows of pine-green evergreens and tiny distant farms stretch beneath a soft navy winter sky with drifting snowflakes.

The naive American-Scandinavian gouache style uses flat matte color and decorative repeating patterns. The palette is cardinal red, warm cream, deep pine green, muted navy and wheat ochre, which gives the piece a wholesome, nostalgic holiday feel. On screen it looks like a real painting. The soft tones suit a living room, family room or bedroom TV through the Christmas season and all winter long.
