Folk Art Winter Scene Print

Bring the cozy magic of an old-fashioned Christmas into your home with this charming folk art winter scene.

Overview

A single brown horse pulls a little red sleigh along a winding snowy path through gently rolling white hills. Tiny red farmhouses and barns glow with warm yellow windows. They are tucked among rows of stylized, patterned pine trees, and curls of folk-style smoke drift up from the chimneys. Above, a deep navy evening sky sparkles with hand-painted stars and a pale crescent moon.

Painted in a naive, matte gouache style, the artwork has flat color shapes, softly uneven hand-painted edges and lots of decorative repetition. The palette of snow white, barn red, deep pine green, midnight navy, mustard ochre and warm cream feels nostalgic, rustic and festive. It suits farmhouse, Scandinavian, cottage and vintage-inspired holiday decor.
